1. Scope and Our Role
Rovida operates a digital rental marketplace connecting Seekers/Renters with Asset Hosts/Owners for residential properties, commercial units, event venues, cars, and two-wheelers in India.
This Policy applies to platform visitors, registered users, Hosts, Seekers, drivers, and guests whose data is provided during a booking or KYC verification flow. Rovida acts as the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023.
2. Personal Data We Collect
A. Account and Profile Data
- Full legal name, phone number, email address, password hash.
- Profile photo and optional preferences (language, city).
B. Identity and KYC Verification Data
- Government identity documents (Aadhaar, Driving Licence, PAN, Voter ID) when required for booking verification or host onboarding.
- Vehicle registration documents (RC, commercial permits, insurance papers) for vehicle listings.
C. Transaction and Payment Details
- Booking timestamps, rental duration, asset identifier, payment method token, and invoice history.
- Rovida processes payments via PCI-DSS certified partners (e.g. Cashfree Payments). Rovida does not store raw credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs.
D. Location and Device Telemetry
- Approximate or precise geolocation when searching for rentals nearby (with your explicit permission).
- IP address, browser type, device identifier, and access logs for fraud prevention and security monitoring.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process personal data only for lawful, legitimate purposes:
- Facilitating Bookings: Allowing Seekers to discover assets, request dates, and finalize rental reservations with Hosts.
- Safety and Trust: Performing KYC checks, preventing spam, unauthorized account takeovers, and fraudulent listings.
- Payment Processing: Handling security deposits, booking payouts to Hosts, refunds, and generating tax invoices.
- Communications: Sending booking confirmations, OTP verification messages, in-app chat notifications, and customer support responses.
- Legal Compliance: Complying with statutory reporting requirements under applicable Indian laws.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosures
We only share data strictly as required to operate the Platform:
- Between Host and Renter: Once a booking is confirmed, necessary contact and check-in/pickup details are shared to coordinate access and handover.
- Payment & SMS Gateways: Trusted technical service providers such as payment aggregators (Cashfree) and transactional SMS/email services (Resend).
- Law Enforcement & Statutory Bodies: Where required by valid court orders, warrants, or regulatory directives under Indian law.

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), you have the right to access, review, correct, and request deletion of your personal data.
